Rotterdam part 1
Good morning to all! After Easter, we all must return to our respective routines and I've returned to mine. I sleep most of the time, I eat whenever I'm hungry and I play with Carmen and Javi if they want.
On Saturday, we visited Rotterdam. I really liked the city, it's big but dosen't seem uncomfortable, it's modern everywhere but the center, lively but not crowded, and has one of the strangest things I've seen in my life: An amphibious bus! It consists of a bus normal in appearance, which takes you around town, seeing the landmarks and tourist places, accompanied by an explanatory video in multiple languages. Then, you don't have anything else to see in streets, the bus approaches the port and the captain Jack and the sailor Marshall down a ramp to get us into the water where the bus floats like a boat. You can imagine the faces of the other tourists walking the banks of the "Mosa" river, as they see a crowded bus which navigates the river.
We found that, one of the most surreal situations we had experienced so far (for me the most surreal, of course). It makes me laugh just thinking back to when the "immersion" in water happened. The expectant people, the sailor carrying out his adaptation work, the captain giving the necessary orders, me grabbed at Javi's shoulder with nails, with dilated pupils and ears back... Background, music from Space Odyssey and then the amphibious bus speeds and enter fully into the water. Gasps and laughter from the other passengers, and as I'm very afraid of water, I thought that I was going to get wet inside.
The "amphibus" gives you a long walk along the river, where you can see, among other things, two of the most tourist places in Rotterdam: "Erasmo of Rotterdam Bridge", and Euromast tower. Despite my fear of water, I had a great experience, and during the journey, my friend Marshall presented us with clouds of jelly to all passengers. I took two and he pretended not seen anything.
